OSHA Has a New Face, New Beginnings

Earlier this month, Dr. David Michaels was unanimously voted for and sworn in to lead the Occupational Safety and Health Administration by the U.S. Senate.  The new head of OSHA has years of experience and research under his belt when it comes to workplace safety.  He even published a book (Doubt is Their Product: How Industry’s Assault on Science Threatens Your Health) and spent several years as Assistant Secretary for Environmental, Safety and Health at the Department of Energy.

He was nominated by President Obama earlier this year with high hopes and expectations to better improve OSHA’s policies and operations.  Below are some great articles covering the Dr. David Michaels from his nomination to his new role as Director of OSHA.
